MAP - MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSORS

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is one of the sensors the Engine Control Module (ECM) uses to calculate optimal air-fuel ratio by continuously monitoring intake manifold pressure information. The MAP sensor also provides a vital role in helping the ECM or ignition module to determine when the ignition should occur under varying engine load conditions.
