ONE PIECE 4" STRETCHED STEEL GAS TANK FOR SOFTAIL WITH DASH MOUNT

These one piece gas tanks with dash mount will give your Softail that long, extra slippery stretched look and flowing lines. These tanks are made by welding a 2" extension to our stretched tanks making them in total 4" (10cm) longer than stock. The extra stretch provides that special slim look. Tank has a seat pocket to match with most narrow seats, such as our Silhouette seats. Fits Softail 1984-1999. Tank holds approx. 4.2 gallon (15,9L.) and is available for Screw-In type gas caps as well as our Quick Cam lockable gas caps.

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
